Where Clinton Township dogs roam
Clinton Township's fenced dog park sits in Civic Center Park at 40700 Romeo Plank Road, with 1.5 acres for off-leash play. You'll need a one-year membership, and registration asks for current vaccination records and license paperwork.
Prefer a leashed walk? At George George Memorial Park, paths run through woods beside the Clinton River, past pond areas. Budd Park on Clinton River Road adds a nature trail and a canoe and kayak launch. Township parks require a leash of 6 feet or less, and waste has to be picked up and carried out when you leave. For a longer outing, Lake St. Clair Metropark sits just east in Harrison Township.

From backyards to common areas
Housing in Clinton Township is a real mix. Just under half of homes are detached houses, about 17% are attached units like townhouses, and about a quarter sit in buildings with five or more units, per Census estimates.

Where the Red Run meets the Clinton
The Clinton River runs right through the township, and the Red Run joins it here before the river heads to Lake St. Clair in Harrison Township. The township's stormwater page is direct about it: rain and melting snow sheet off roofs and roads, then travel through storm sewers to local waters with no treatment along the way.
Pet waste can ride along into rivers, lakes and streams. Regular scooping keeps it in a bag and out of the storm drain, which is better for the river and better for your shoes.
